The Company

1973

In Montemurlo in the province of Prato young Giovanni Gigliotti founded his first textile machinery company. He was only 24 years old and worked in a garage. di macchine tessili.

1996

After having changed various plants, together with two other partners they became an S.P.A. (Joint Stock Company) with headquarters in Paperino, always in the province of Prato.

2010

Giovanni Gigliotti is an creative person; he loves inventing and patenting his machines; thus at the age of 64 he decided to get back into the game and on his own founded Gigliotti Macchine Tessili S.r.l.

2015

Giovanni registers a new patent (there are other patents between the ‘80s and ‘90s, we are looking for the precise dates) that make him undisputed innovator of the textile machinery sector at international level.

2018

His daughter Alice and his son Gilberto start working in the company. With the competences acquired from their father, their task is to lead the family business towards the future.

2019

We are working on new machines for chenille and fancy yarns, as well as on new technologies to further improve the quality of our products.
Always with the aim of anticipating the client’s needs.

GIGLIOTTI MACCHINE TESSILI SRL was founded by Giovanni Gigliotti, already inventor and constructor of chenille machinery since 1973.
From 1973 to date, apart from designing chenille machinery, Gigliotti specialised in the construction of hollow spindle twisting machines for the production of highly fancy and special yarns.

The plurennial experience achieved allowed realising extremely versatile and technologically advanced machinery known and appreciated worldwide, able to satisfy the expectations of the most demanding operators.
